Plan your care
Please bring with you any paperwork or information that you may have which is relevant to your condition such as results from blood tests and radiology, letters from previous medical reviews and a copy of your referral. You will need to present your Medicare Card. Payment in full is expected following your consultation. EPTPOS facilities are available and contactless electronic payment is preferred.
It is a requirement that you have a current referral from a GP or Specialist to attend and receive reimbursement from Medicare that component of your fee.
If an Ultrasound is considered appropriate to aid in your assessment, Dr Taylor may undertake it as part of your consultation.
The cost of providing a high quality specialist medical service is not fully covered by Medicare and there will be out of pocket expenses for the consultations and any injections, if required. At the time of making an appointment the fees will be explained to you.
Private health insurance organisations cover only costs which are incurred as a hospital inpatient. They do not cover consultations in the rooms.

Murdoch Rheumatology in Perth
About
Dr Andrew Taylor
I know what it feels like to be a patient as I spent a considerable time in the medical system as a child. That, and the fact that I found medical science fasciniating, inspired me to become a doctor.
I was born in Melbourne, lived in Sydney for most of my high school years, and studied medicine at UWA in Perth. I lived in Bath, England, for 2 years furthering my Rheumatology training. In 1997 I returned to Perth and started private practice.
